Тренировочный вариант №7 предназначен для подготовки учащихся 8 класса к ВПР 2027 по английскому языку. Вариант составлен в формате актуальной работы и имеет слегка повышенный уровень сложности.

В аудировании необходимо внимательно сопоставлять несколько фактов и числовых деталей, в чтении — различать близкие по смыслу варианты ответа, а в грамматическом задании — самостоятельно образовывать нужные формы слов с учётом контекста.

На выполнение всей работы рекомендуется отвести не более 45 минут. Сначала выполните задания самостоятельно, а затем проверьте ответы и прочитайте объяснения.

Why city gardens are becoming popular

In many large cities, people live in flats and have little or no private outdoor space. However, this has not stopped city residents from growing vegetables, herbs and flowers. Community gardens are becoming increasingly common in different parts of the world.

A community garden is a shared area where local residents can grow plants. Sometimes each person has a small individual section, while in other gardens everyone works together. These spaces may be created on unused land, beside schools or even on the roofs of buildings.

One reason for their popularity is that people can grow fresh food close to home. Tomatoes, herbs, salad vegetables and strawberries are among the most common choices because they do not always require a large amount of space.

Community gardens can also bring neighbours together. People who might never normally speak to each other meet while watering plants or working in the garden. Some projects organise shared meals, gardening lessons and activities for children.

There are environmental benefits too. Plants can provide food and shelter for insects and birds. Gardens may also help reduce the temperature in areas where there are many buildings and little natural shade.

However, creating a successful community garden is not always easy. Organisers need permission to use the land, access to water and people who are willing to look after the garden regularly. If nobody takes responsibility during holidays or hot weather, plants can quickly die.

Another challenge is that many community gardens are built on land that may later be needed for construction. A successful garden can exist for several years and then suddenly have to move.

Despite these difficulties, many city residents believe community gardens are worth the effort. They provide fresh food, green space and opportunities for people to work together in areas where nature can sometimes feel far away.

Welcome to Greenhill Youth Centre. We have several activities for students aged twelve to seventeen this year.

Our basketball club meets on Tuesday and Thursday from five until half past six. The club is open to both beginners and experienced players. There are two basketball competitions during the year, one in December and another in May.

The swimming club meets three times a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Sessions start at seven thirty and finish at eight thirty. Members need to pay fifteen pounds per month. Please remember that the swimming club closes for the whole of July because the pool is being repaired.

For students who prefer creative activities, our art club meets every Saturday afternoon from two until four. All materials are provided, and the club is completely free for registered members of the youth centre. Each month, students choose a new topic such as landscapes, animals or people.

The sports hall is also available for general use. From Monday to Friday, it is open from four in the afternoon until nine in the evening. At weekends, it closes at seven.

The art club and sports hall remain open throughout July and August.

Система оценивания

В заданиях 1 и 2 участник получает по 1 баллу за каждый правильный ответ. В задании 3 участник получает по 1 баллу за каждое правильно преобразованное слово. Максимальный результат за каждое из заданий 1–3 — 5 баллов.

Задание 4 оценивается по четырём критериям:

решение коммуникативной задачи — до 3 баллов;
организация текста — до 2 баллов;
лексико-грамматическое оформление текста — до 3 баллов;
орфография и пунктуация — до 2 баллов.

Требуемый объём электронного письма — 90–110 слов. Если объём письма менее 81 слова, ответ оценивается в 0 баллов по всем критериям. Если объём превышает 121 слово, проверяются только первые 110 слов.

Максимальный первичный балл за всю работу — 25.
