ВПР 2027 по английскому языку, 8 класс — тренировочный вариант №4

Тренировочный вариант №4 составлен в соответствии со структурой ВПР 2027 по английскому языку для 8 класса. Этот вариант немного сложнее предыдущих: в аудировании необходимо различать близкие по смыслу детали, а в заданиях по чтению и грамматике — внимательно анализировать контекст.

На выполнение проверочной работы рекомендуется отвести не более 45 минут. Сначала выполните все задания самостоятельно, а затем проверьте ответы и изучите подробные объяснения.

Saving the old railway station

For many years, the old railway station in our town stood empty. Passenger trains had stopped using it in the 1980s, and a modern station had been built on the other side of town. The original building gradually became damaged, and some residents believed that it should be demolished.

Last year, our History teacher suggested that we investigate the building as part of a local history project. At first, I was not particularly interested. I passed the station every day and thought it was simply an unattractive abandoned building. However, old photographs in the town archive completely changed my opinion.

We discovered that the station had opened in 1894. It had connected the town with several important industrial centres and had helped local factories sell their products across the country. During the Second World War, soldiers and medical supplies had also passed through it.

Our group interviewed elderly residents who remembered the station when it was still busy. One woman described the waiting room, which had large mirrors and a colourful painting above the ticket office. We could not see the painting because the wall had later been covered with wooden panels.

With permission from the local council, specialists carefully removed one of the panels. Part of the original painting was still there, although it had been damaged by water. This discovery attracted the attention of local newspapers and encouraged more people to support the restoration project.

Before any decorative work could begin, engineers had to examine the building. They found that the roof was leaking and that part of the floor was unsafe. They explained that repairing the structure was more urgent than painting walls or replacing windows.

To raise money, students organised an exhibition of historical photographs and recorded interviews. Local businesses provided materials, while residents donated tools and furniture. Enough money was collected to repair the roof and make the main hall safe.

The building has not yet been completely restored. However, the main hall now contains a small exhibition about the history of transport in the town. In the future, the council hopes to open a café and provide rooms for community groups. I no longer see the station as a useless old building. It has become an important connection between the town’s past and its future.

Welcome to the Old Town Heritage Centre. It is situated in Market Street, close to the old market square. The centre will reopen next Monday after a short period of repair work.

There are local history, archaeology and family history classes for teenagers. Local history classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students study old maps, photographs and newspaper articles and sometimes visit historical buildings.

Archaeology lessons are held on Mondays and Wednesdays. Students learn how objects from the past are discovered, recorded and protected. Every month, they can enter an archaeology competition. The winners receive books and a place on a summer excavation.

Family history classes take place on Saturday afternoons. Students learn how to use official records and interview older relatives about their lives.

The centre also has an archive room containing computers, maps and historical documents. On weekdays, it is open from ten in the morning until seven in the evening. At weekends, it closes at five.

Please remember that the archive room is closed during September while its documents are being reorganised. All classes and guided visits will continue as usual.

Электронное письмо оценивается по четырём критериям:

решение коммуникативной задачи — до 3 баллов;
организация текста — до 2 баллов;
лексико-грамматическое оформление — до 3 баллов;
орфография и пунктуация — до 2 баллов.

Если объём письма составляет менее 81 слова, ответ оценивается в 0 баллов по всем критериям. Если объём превышает 121 слово, проверяются только первые 110 слов.

Максимальный первичный балл за всю работу — 25.
