Тренировочный вариант №9 предназначен для подготовки учащихся 7 класса к ВПР 2027 по английскому языку. Работа включает четыре задания по аудированию, чтению, грамматике и письменной речи.
Вариант имеет слегка повышенный уровень сложности. В аудировании необходимо внимательно следить за изменением первоначального плана и условиями бронирования, в чтении — находить точную информацию среди близких по смыслу вариантов ответа, а в грамматике — учитывать контекст и временные указатели.
На выполнение всей работы рекомендуется отвести не более 45 минут. Сначала выполните задания самостоятельно, а затем проверьте ответы и прочитайте объяснения.

The history of public transport
Millions of people use buses, trains and other forms of public transport every day. However, city transport systems have changed greatly since the first organised services appeared.
Before modern public transport existed, most people travelled through cities on foot or used horses and carriages. These methods worked reasonably well when towns were small, but growing cities needed better ways to move large numbers of people.
During the nineteenth century, horse-drawn buses became common in several European and American cities. They followed fixed routes and carried several passengers at the same time. However, keeping and feeding large numbers of horses was expensive.
Later, horse-drawn trams appeared. Their wheels ran on metal rails, which made the vehicles easier for horses to pull. By the end of the nineteenth century, many cities had started replacing horses with electric tram systems.
Underground railways offered another solution to crowded streets. The world’s first underground railway opened in London in 1863. Early trains used steam engines, which created smoke and made underground travel uncomfortable. Electric trains later improved the system greatly.
During the twentieth century, buses became increasingly important. Petrol and diesel engines allowed buses to travel without rails, making routes easier to change. Many cities built large bus networks connecting residential areas with workplaces and city centres.
Today, public transport continues to develop. Electric buses and modern trains can reduce air pollution, while digital displays and mobile apps help passengers plan their journeys. Some cities are also expanding tram and underground systems to reduce traffic congestion.
Although cars offer flexibility, efficient public transport can carry many more people using less road space. For this reason, transport planners continue to search for faster, cleaner and more convenient ways to move people around cities.

В заданиях 1–3 участник получает по 1 баллу за каждый правильный ответ. Максимальный результат за каждое из заданий 1–3 — 5 баллов.
Задание 4 оценивается по четырём критериям:
- решение коммуникативной задачи — до 3 баллов;
- организация текста — до 2 баллов;
- лексико-грамматическое оформление текста — до 3 баллов;
- орфография и пунктуация — до 2 баллов.
Требуемый объём электронного письма — 80–90 слов. Если объём письма менее 72 слов, ответ оценивается в 0 баллов по всем критериям. Если объём превышает 99 слов, проверяются только первые 90 слов.
Максимальный первичный балл за всю работу — 25.
