Тренировочный вариант №8 предназначен для подготовки учащихся 7 класса к ВПР 2027 по английскому языку. Работа включает четыре задания по аудированию, чтению, грамматике и письменной речи.
Вариант имеет слегка повышенный уровень сложности. В аудировании необходимо учитывать детали разговора и отличать первоначальные планы от окончательных решений, в чтении — находить точную информацию среди близких по смыслу вариантов ответа, а в грамматике — учитывать контекст, временные указатели и устойчивые конструкции.
На выполнение всей работы рекомендуется отвести не более 45 минут. Сначала выполните задания самостоятельно, а затем проверьте ответы и прочитайте объяснения.

The history of newspapers
For centuries, newspapers have helped people learn about events happening in their own towns and around the world. However, the earliest newspapers were very different from the printed and digital news sources we know today.
Before newspapers existed, important information was often shared through handwritten notices, letters or public announcements. In ancient Rome, official news about political events and military victories was sometimes displayed in public places.
The development of printing in Europe made it possible to produce information much faster. By the seventeenth century, regular printed newspapers had appeared in several European countries. They usually contained reports about trade, wars, politics and events in other cities.
Early newspapers were often expensive and were mainly read by wealthy or educated people. They also contained fewer pages than modern newspapers and usually had no photographs.
During the nineteenth century, improvements in printing technology reduced production costs. Newspapers became cheaper, and growing numbers of people learned to read. As a result, newspapers reached a much larger audience.
Newspapers also began to change their content. They included local news, advertisements, sport, entertainment and reports about everyday life. Photographs became increasingly common as printing methods improved.
During the twentieth century, radio and television became important competitors. People could hear or watch news without waiting for the next printed newspaper. Later, the Internet changed the news industry even more.
Today, many newspapers publish both printed and online versions. Digital articles can be updated within minutes, and readers can access news from almost anywhere. However, some people still prefer printed newspapers because they enjoy reading a physical copy without using a screen.

Требуемый объём электронного письма — 80–90 слов. Если объём письма менее 72 слов, ответ оценивается в 0 баллов по всем критериям. Если объём превышает 99 слов, проверяются только первые 90 слов.
Максимальный первичный балл за всю работу — 25.
