Тренировочный вариант №8 предназначен для подготовки учащихся 5 класса к ВПР 2027 по английскому языку. Работа включает четыре задания по аудированию, чтению, грамматике и письменной речи.
По уровню сложности этот вариант соответствует вариантам №4–7. В аудировании необходимо внимательно различать уже произошедшие события и планы, а в заданиях по чтению и грамматике — учитывать точные детали текста, временные указатели и формы неправильных глаголов.
На выполнение всей работы рекомендуется отвести не более 45 минут. Сначала выполните задания самостоятельно, а затем проверьте ответы и прочитайте объяснения.

A day at the castle
Last Saturday, eleven-year-old Mia visited an old castle with her parents and her cousin Jake. The castle was about forty kilometres from their town. Mia’s father wanted to drive there, but there was a large cycling race on the main road, so the family travelled by train instead.
They arrived shortly after ten o’clock. Before entering the castle, they joined a guided tour of the gardens. Mia enjoyed looking at the fountains and old trees, while Jake was more interested in a small stone bridge over the lake.
Inside the castle, the guide showed them several rooms that had been used by the same family for hundreds of years. Mia was surprised by the size of the dining room. Jake liked the old kitchen because it contained unusual cooking equipment.
At lunchtime, the family went to a café near the entrance. Mia chose vegetable soup and bread. Jake wanted a chicken sandwich, but there were none left, so he ordered pasta instead.
After lunch, the children took part in a history activity. They had to study copies of old letters and decide what life at the castle had been like. Mia found the handwriting difficult to read at first, but the teacher gave her a printed version of the text.
Later, they climbed a tower. From the top, they could see the gardens, the nearby village and part of the railway line. Jake wanted to take a photograph, but he had left his phone in his bag downstairs.
Before going home, Mia bought a small guidebook from the castle shop. Jake chose a wooden pencil. They left at half past four because their train departed shortly before five.

В заданиях 1–3 участник получает по 1 баллу за каждый правильный ответ. Максимальный результат за каждое из заданий 1–3 — 5 баллов.
Электронное письмо оценивается по четырём критериям:
- решение коммуникативной задачи — до 3 баллов;
- организация текста — до 2 баллов;
- лексико-грамматическое оформление — до 3 баллов;
- орфография и пунктуация — до 2 баллов.
Требуемый объём письма — 40–60 слов. Если в письме менее 36 слов, ответ оценивается в 0 баллов. Если объём превышает 66 слов, проверяются только первые 60 слов.
Максимальный первичный балл за всю работу — 25.
