✅ Solutions

Task 1. Listening transcript (long version)

Girl: Hi Ben, are you ready for the school trip next week?
Boy: Not really. Where are we going again?
Girl: To the nature park near the city.
Boy: Oh yes. I like nature, but I don’t enjoy long bus rides.
Girl: It won’t take too long, just about an hour.
Boy: I still need to ask my parents for permission. I forgot to give them the paper.
Girl: You’d better do it today. Otherwise, the teacher won’t let you go.
Boy: Right. And I also need money for the ticket.
Girl: If it’s a problem, you should talk to the teacher. She can help.
Boy: Maybe I will. Anyway, I think trips are much better than ordinary lessons.
Girl: I agree. You learn more when you see things with your own eyes.
Boy: True. So, what will you do after the trip?
Girl: Probably share some photos online.
Boy: Good idea! Let’s post them together.

Task 7. Writing — sample answer

Hello Olivia,
Thanks for your letter. At my school we have many clubs. The most popular ones are the football club and the music club. Some students also join the art club, where they paint and draw. I take part in the computer club, because I am interested in programming and learning new technologies. Clubs are a great way to meet friends and spend free time usefully. I think they make school life more interesting.
How often does your drama club meet? Do you prepare more than one play a year? What role are you playing in your new performance?

Best wishes,
Your friend
