Инструкция по выполнению работы
На выполнение проверочной работы по английскому языку отводится один урок (не более 45 минут). Работа состоит из 4 заданий.
Ответы на задания запишите в поля ответов в тексте работы. В случае записи неверного ответа зачеркните его и запишите рядом новый.
При выполнении работы не разрешается пользоваться учебниками, рабочими тетрадями, справочным материалом.
При необходимости можно пользоваться черновиком. Записи в черновике проверяться и оцениваться не будут.
Советуем выполнять задания в том порядке, в котором они даны. В целях экономии времени пропускайте задание, которое не удаётся выполнить сразу, и переходите к следующему. Если после выполнения всей работы у Вас останется время, то Вы сможете вернуться к пропущенным заданиям.

The Pyramids of Egypt
The Pyramids of Egypt are some of the most famous monuments in the world. They were built thousands of years ago as tombs for the pharaohs, the kings of Ancient Egypt. The largest pyramid, the Great Pyramid of Giza, was built for Pharaoh Khufu. It is more than 4,500 years old and is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
The pyramids were built with huge stone blocks, and nobody knows exactly how people managed to move them. Many scientists believe that thousands of workers used special ramps and tools. Today the pyramids are one of the most popular tourist places in Egypt. Millions of visitors come every year to see the ancient buildings, the Sphinx, and the desert around them.
